Queen's marked
their league chess comeback by storming to victory in Division
2 in 2007. Promotion to the top level of Ulster Chess duly
followed and the team then superbly won Division 1 in consecutive
years for the first time since 1970.

Queen's have
now won the Ulster Chess Union Belfast & District League
Division 1 twenty-five times, more than any other club. A
QUB team has also claimed the Division 2 title on nine occasions.
